2018 Summer School Information

Monday - Friday, June 4 to June 29, 2018
8:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Lunch 11:30 AM-12:00 PM

Registration Fees

Credit Recovery Courses
  • Huntsville City Schools Students
    • A $25 fee is the only tuition requirement for Huntsville City Schools students taking a credit recovery course.
  • Non-Huntsville City Schools Students
    • Middle School - $350/Course
    • High School - $350 - 1.0 Credit Course, 
    • High School - $175 - 0.5 Credit Course
Credit Enhancement Courses
  • Huntsville City Schools Students
    • High School - $300 - 1.0 Credit Course,
    • High School - $150 - 0.5 Credit Course
  • Priority will be given to current HCS students.


Transportation will be provided from the Huntsville City Schools student's local middle/high school to Lee High School.  Students may provide their own transportation to Lee High School.

Attendance Requirements

Regular school policy regarding student absences does NOT apply to Summer School.

Credit will not be awarded to students with absences exceeding the maximum number allowed, regardless of the reason for the absences or tardies.

  • Maximum Absences - 2 days
  • 3 Tardies = 1 absence

Special Education

Special Education academic classes are offered at the designated high school site. Specialized programs will be available for other special education students. Please contact your child's teacher for information.

Student Discipline

The Huntsville City Board of Education requires that all students conduct themselves in a manner that facilitates the educational process. Disciplinary action will be administered according tothe district's Behavioral Learning Guide.

Report Card Dates

Middle and High School report cards will be issued no later than by June 29.
