I love to travel to unfamiliar places to experience other cultures. This is a result of spending the first 10 years of my life in Germany (Military Brat). This experience helped shape my viewpoints and my cultural awareness and acceptance... attributes that are especially important when teaching literature and exploring a variety of communications via Media Arts. In addition to teaching at Huntsville City Schools for 28 years, I taught a variety of English courses at Calhoun Community College  for 17 years.
