I worked as a registered nurse for 21 years before deciding to make a career change to elementary education. I have been teaching for 25 years in the following states: Utah, Virginia, North Carolina, and now, Alabama. I have 3 grown children: my daughter, Erin, is an artist and lives in Delaware; Nathan is my middle child--he is an engineer and lives here in Huntsville with his wife, Kerry; and my youngest is Jonathan who is currently living and working in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
