I have called Huntsville, AL home since 1989. I am a proud alumna of the best HBCU to ever exist, The Alabama A&M University. It is also where I met my best friend and the love of my life, Christopher.  We share a beautiful daughter together. I enjoy recreational reading, tackling challenging puzzles, watching basketball and baking. I love spending time with my family.  I am deeply passionate about serving children, ensuring they have access to quality education and opportunities to become productive members of our society. One of my favorite quotes is from Nelson Mandela: "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world".
