My name is John Thornton and I am the assistant principal at Chapman Middle School. Prior to being at Chapman Middle, I was a classroom teacher and have served 6 years. In my role as the assistant principal, I hope to continue shaping the culture of Chapman Middle while increasing student achievement.

Some of my hobbies include; solving difficult problems, painting, singing, and volunteering with my church family. My family has grown! I now have a wife and a beautiful daughter! This year, I plan to add your child to my family too! I am very excited about the upcoming school year and can’t wait to create new and everlasting memories!
