My name is Karen O'Hear and I began working at Challenger Elementary in 2009. My passion is learning, teaching, and spending time with children that need our help.
Spending time with my family, traveling, learning new cultures, and expressing creativity through art are my main hobbies. I love being part of the Challenger family and I am looking forward to many more great years.

I earned my degree from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA and I am certified to work with students with special needs from Pre-K through 12th grade.
I worked for SECEP (regional program for students with autism) for three years in Virginia.
I have worked with students in the autism spectrum from grades K-5 for over 10 years.
I have been working with Huntsville City Schools since 2009.
