I have been teaching at Challenger Elementary since 2014. I hold a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Alabama in Huntsville. My hobbies include reading, shopping and watching movies. My happy place is the beach. I try to spend as much time as I can relaxing with my toes in the sand. My family (husband Tony and boys, Trevor and Holden) enjoy rooting for our favorite sports teams and have been known to scream, cheer and cry a time or two! As much as I believe that education needs to be about reading, math, science and social studies, etc, I also believe it needs to be about how we treat each other. It is my hope that these kids know they are loved and respected and will pay it forward, throughout their lives, with their actions towards others.
