My name is Ryan Hagen. I am excited to join Challenger Middle School! I have taught Math for 18 years, with 16 of those years at Summit Hill Junior High School located in the Southwest Suburbs of Chicago. After teaching at Mountain Brook Junior High School near Birmingham, I am thrilled to be near family in the Rocket City! As a teacher I love making real-world connections to math! This school year, I will be teaching 7th Grade Accelerated Math as well as 8th Grade Math. Throughout my career, I’ve also coached track, softball, baseball, and chess and I can’t wait to coach track here at Challenger! Eagle up! As a new resident of Alabama, my wife and family love to explore all of Alabama’s beautiful state parks. I also enjoy reading, sports, and spending time with family and friends.
