LaShawn Banks
I have been teaching since 2001 with Huntsville City Schools. I have been at Farley Elementary since 2015. Outside of teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I enjoy spending time on the beach and anything that involves relaxation. My evenings and weekends are spent as a spectator at the soccer field cheering my daughter on, go Lauren!
Professionally, I am an educator committed to collaborative learning that engages students, staff, families, and the community. As a collaborative teacher (special education), I provide inclusive and small-group instruction to elementary students with special needs (K-5). I am a member of the leadership team, assessment committee, and the special education team leader.
I teach with the motto All Students Can Succeed! I look forward too many more years of teaching and watching all students reaching their full potential.
