I have loved art for as long as I can remember. In middle school, I started taking art lessons at a local Hobby Lobby and I continued with art all through high school and college. Right out of college, I worked in Huntsville as a graphic designer for ADTRAN, Inc. and then a very small marketing firm named Inergi. I was lucky enough to marry my high school sweetheart and we have a daughter and a son that keep things interesting at home. We love to travel, play board games, do anything artsy, and baseball. We do lots of baseball with my son. After having kids, I decided I wanted to share my passion for art with others. What better way to do that than teach? I hope to teach my students how to use art as a tool for self-reflection and self-expression. My art class will introduce students to a diverse group of past and present artists, a variety of art media and artistic techniques, and provide them with a creative outlet to share their own unique individuality.
