Chad Johnson
I teach Ceramics II & III, Visual Arts I and Crafts I at Virgil I. Grissom High School. This is my fourth year here and I am excited to create new and challenging projects that will create a lasting impression for my students. I earned my BFA from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2010 and was awarded the Provost Fellowship and Apprenticeship Awards to pursue my MFA from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, FL. It was at UCF when I got bit by the teaching bug while serving as a graduate assistant and decided this was the path for me. I moved back home to Alabama and started working as an adjunct in higher education before choosing to work at the high school level. I am proud to call Huntsville home and in my freetime enjoy the outdoors, making art and cooking for my wife and son.
