Mrs. Hamby is originally from Tennessee, but has made 
Huntsville, Alabama her home since 2000. She moved to Huntsville to attend the University of Alabama in Huntsville and to play collegiate softball. She is beginning her 20th year as a teacher in Huntsville City Schools.

When Mrs. Hamby is not teaching, she enjoys hiking, camping, sky diving, and exploring new places with her boys. She also loves all animals, especially large dogs and tending to her plants.
