Hello, my name is Sharon Lakin and I am a kindergarten teacher at Hampton Cove Elementary School. I am originally from New York.  My husband retired from the U. S. Navy after 24 years and we retired to the Huntsville area. We have one son who is a former Marine. I love spending time with my family, exercising and reading. I have taught kindergarten for fifteen years at Hampton Cove Elementary School. I believe that all students can learn and succeed. It is my responsibility as a teacher to provide my students with learning experiences that meet their interests and developmental needs. I look forward to a wonderful year of learning and working with both you and your child!

I have over 24 years of teaching experience. I taught overseas for the Department of Defense in Puerto Rico, Italy (where our son was born) and Japan as well as Maryland before getting my job at Huntsville City Schools.
