My greatest love of all things is service to others. No matter if I am in my home, at church or at work I often ask myself "How can I help? I have a wonderful husband, daughter and son. I enjoy spending time with family and friends.

Experience

I have always been a proud employee of Huntsville City Schools. I began my career as a middle school mathematics teacher at Challenger Middle School in August of 2001. After 7 years my heart was pulled in a different direction of service as a school counselor. My first opportunity to work in that capacity began in August 2008 at Hampton Cove Middle School. After two years, I was given the opportunity to begin my service at Hampton Cove Elementary School in what I called "The World of Fat Crayons." In August 2012, I returned to secondary education and worked as part of the Turn-Around program at Westlawn Middle School. The following year I rounded out the ultimate trifecta and served the community, families and students of Butler High School. In August of 2014, I returned "home" to Hampton Cove Middle School and have been here ever since.

I am proud to say that I am the Military Family Liaison for HCMS. Along with the Junior Student 2 Student group, I am able to support military children and their families to ensure a seamless transition and assimilation into our school community. Our goal is to bring about an accepting and attentive culture for those who sacrifice so much for us all.
