Ashley M. Looney
Hello Future Healthcare workers. My name is Ashley Looney and I am pleased to be teaching in the Career Tech Health Science program here at Huntsville High School. I am a school nurse by trade and grew up down the road in Decatur, Alabama. I graduated from Decatur High School in 1987.
I have a hubby named Michael and 4 daughters: Hannah, Hayden, Hallie, and Montana, and one son-in-law Tyler. I now have two grandchildren. Maddie is 7 and Logan is 4. I have two golden retrievers; Hazel and Nellie. I enjoy spending time with my family, going to the beach, and being outdoors grillin' and chillin'. I love Alabama because I love the seasons and of course, ROLL TIDE!! Fall is my favorite but of course I love summer as I spend a lot of my time off around the pool, lake, beach or wherever there is sun and water.
I enjoy teaching all of our future healthcare workers as you are all so needed. Healthcare is forever here and forever changing and I hope to help some of you choose your medical career path. I encourage you to learn as much as you can now because It gets harder but it is so worth it. I look forward to a great year and having fun and learning together.
