Hello Panthers! My name is Ms. Hightower, and this is my first year at Huntsville High School. I will be teaching English in the Freshman Academy, so I look forward to meeting all of the incoming scholars. I am super passionate about English Literature, and I can't wait to embark upon this "literary adventure" with you!

I have over 15 years of experience in education, and I have taught in both Alabama and Illinois. Throughout my tenure in education, I have taught English Language Arts to students in grades 6-12 and served as an Academic Interventionist. I have also hosted a number of professional development workshops focusing on Effective Classroom Management and Facilitating Academic Discourse in secondary classrooms.
