Hi! I am Emily Parrish and I am excited for my second year as a Huntsville High Panther! I moved to Huntsville from Birmingham 5 years ago and instantly fell in love with this city. In my free time I love to travel, read, and relax with my friends and family. I have a dog named Diablo and a cat named Carlton who keep me laughing. I just got engaged and will be getting married next June! My favorite topic to study in science is synthetic biology because there are lessons we can learn about all kinds of things from the natural world, such as how to design the quietest aircraft by studying owl feathers or studying woodpeckers to improve football helmet safety. I look forward to this year as a panther and I hope that I inspire my students to love learning while always feeling safe, loved, important, and seen.
