HHS Panther Community,

I am excited to say that the 2023-2024 school year will be my fourth year serving as Assistant Principal at Huntsville High School. My main focus at Huntsville High School is the Freshman Academy and I could not love it more for I know how important the transition year from middle school to high school is for students. I could not be more excited to continue my career as a Panther. It’s an exciting opportunity to continue to give back to the Huntsville community that gives so much to me.

In my spare time when I am not cheering on the Panthers, I enjoy time with my family, traveling and learning to be a new mom as of this upcoming October. I am excited about the possibilities that this school year will bring and am proud to be part of the HHS family.

Experience

After growing up in Madison Alabama, I went on to receive my bachelors degree in Secondary Mathematics from the University of Alabama in 2011. Then after a short time teaching at Brookwood High School in Tuscaloosa, I found myself ready to move closer to home and went on to teach at Huntsville Junior High School for the next seven years. While teaching at HJHS, I was able to attend the University of Alabama at Birmingham to complete my masters in Educational Leadership in 2017, then started my Educational Specialist degree in August 2019 before moving to administration at Huntsville High School. In December 2020 I was able to complete my Educational Specialist degree from the University of Alabama in Birmingham.
