My name is Daphne Thurman and I have resided in Huntsville, AL with my husband Retired Lieutenant Colonel Thurman since 2009. We have three children. I am currently an English Language Arts Honors Teacher at Huntsville Junior High School. I have always had a passion for teaching children. I also have a love for volunteerism and giving back to the community. I am a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. where I participate/volunteer monthly in giving back to the community through community service. My Philosophy is that every student can learn & deserves the best education. My Motto is "To never give up."
