Hello! My name is Meredith Bates! I am so excited to be a part of the Fourth Grade Team. I am more excited to be your teacher. This year is bound to be a great year full of new friends, and new adventures.
I am a native of Fayetteville, Tennessee, and a mom of two little girls who are almost four and two. I enjoy being a mom, spending time with my family, and reading books. This is my seventh year of teaching, and my first year at Dawson Elementary. I can't wait to help your students to learn and believe that as long as we work together, anything is possible.

I began my teaching career in 2017 at Ridgecrest Elementary School, where I taught for five years as a third grade teacher. I spent last year teaching fifth grade math in Fayetteville, TN. I am very excited this year to be back teaching in the Huntsville City Schools District.
