I came to teaching through a rather indirect route, having previously worked as an attorney for 6 years and in residential remodeling  construction/sales/marketing for another 6 years. I returned to college at the University of Tennessee for a year and got my teaching certificate. I taught for 2 years in Scott County, Tennessee (where my wife, Annettee, is also a history teacher) before joining the staff of J.O. Johnson High in 2012. I moved to Jemison when it opened & have been here ever since. My hobbies include Civil War Re-Enacting, Dungeons & Dragons, Building & Painting Models, Golf & Soccer. I am the Head Boys' & Girls' Soccer Coach here at Jemison & I sponsor the Dungeons & Dragons Club.
