Gabrielle Degenaar
I have been an elementary counselor with HCS since 2005. This year marks my 8th year at Jones Valley and I am thrilled to be part of Team JVE. I am married and have two daughters. My oldest is a sophomore at Auburn and my youngest is a senior in high school who is heading to UAB in the fall. We have hosted 4 foreign exchange students from Denmark, Germany, Italy and Norway. My daughters and I travelled to Norway to visit our former student and experience her beautiful country. My family and I also foster puppies for a local rescue. We have been doing this 3 years and have helped 100 puppies find loving homes. We foster failed on 2 so now we have four fur babies of our own. Our favorite family past time is watching Auburn football. We also love traveling, amusement parks and haunted houses.
The HCS Counseling Department has provided a variety of helpful quarantine and support resources on the HCS Counseling Department page under Resources for Parents During Quarantine.
