COL (R) Diane Richie
I am COL (R) Diane P. Richie. I retired from the US Army with 28 years of service. I am the Senior Army Instructor for the Lee/New Century Technology HS Army JROTC program and I also serve as the school's Military Family Liaison. While in elementary school, I was a military connected student, as well as my two children. With 28 years of service in the Army, I have had too many jobs to mention, but my last duty assignment was as the Military Deputy for the Army Material Command Chief of Staff for Resource Management (G8). I started at Lee High School in January 2014, and this my only school since I retired from the Army. I have the privilege of being a grandmother to three handsome and loving grandson; Jayden, Jeremiah and Carter. I was born in Germany however, transplanted and raised in Detroit, MI. In my spare time I love hanging out with my grandsons and doing DIY projects around the house. As a JROTC Instructor, my greatest enjoyment is when the students/cadets "get it". My favorite quote is, “ If you can turn your passion into your profession, you will never “work” a day in your life.”
