Michelle Sisson
I am a Madison native, Bob Jones graduate, Athens State University graduate, nationally board-certified teacher, and 2020 AUM Educational Leadership graduate. I started teaching English at Lee High School in 2006. I enjoy reading, hiking, kayaking, and spending time with friends and family. Being a teacher at Lee High means I have encountered kids from all walks of life, and I have adored watching them come together to find commonality amongst all the diversity. The 9th grade English team has worked tirelessly to cultivate classroom libraries that reflect authors and characters from all walks of life, and I can't wait to share it with you! I have also been the Creative Writing Magnet instructor since 2009. Influencing culture and life-long learning are my passions. I look forward to all the new programs leadership has worked so hard to cultivate this year, which is looking like our best year yet! If you ever need anything, just stop by room 236, and I'll be happy to help!
