I was born and raised in Japan until I started college in Alabama. I obtained US citizenship. I speak Japanese, English and Spanish (enough to teach and communicate with parents). I chose this profession simply because I enjoy working and having a good time with children! All my family members live in Japan, that includes my husband. Since I do not have any children of my own, all the students who walk into my life become mine while I have them, if I may say so. I tell my students to think of me as their grandma, grandpa, mom, dad, or anyone who protects them and helps them enjoy school!
