My name is Annie McBride, and I'm from the Scottsboro, AL area! I am a graduate of Alabama A&M University, where I studied Biology with a concentration in Secondary Education. I like to say that science runs in my family, since my dad was a geologist and one of my sisters is a nurse! I always knew I wanted a career where I could help people, and I found a passion for working with students while student teaching, tutoring, and volunteering with different schools and student-centered organizations in the Huntsville area. My teaching goals lie in creating a comfortable, fun classroom where all students know they will succeed in science. I also love being able to help students reach their own goals and act as a mentor while in the classroom! When I'm not teaching, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, hiking, reading, going to concerts, and going to the movies. I'm excited to start the year at Mountain Gap and to get to know the students and community!
