I grew up in the small community of New Hope, Alabama. After graduating from New Hope High School, I graduated from Jacksonville State University with a degree in Special Education (1995). I began my career as an educator in January 1996 at the age of twenty-two. I have been teaching in the Huntsville City School System for eight years.
