Ms. Lovelace was born and raised in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. She lived in Florence, Alabama for 18 years, teaching in the Florence City School System. She taught in the Jackson-Madison County School System in Jackson, Tennessee for 16 years. In 2014 she moved back to Alabama to become the Library Media Specialist at Ronald E. McNair Junior High School.

Ms. Lovelace has two children, both married, and has four grandchildren. She enjoys reading, decorating, Alabama football, and spending as much time as possible with the grandchildren.

Ms. Lovelace has been the Library Media Specialist at McNair Junior High since the first year of its inception. Besides being a librarian, she also sponsors the school yearbook and oversees all laptops, chargers, and other technological things.
