I am beginning my fifth year here at Lee/NCTHS, my sixth year as a CTE instructor for Health Science.

My goal is not only to effectively equip future health care professionals with knowledge but to help them fuse that knowledge with the delivery of compassionate patient care. I am excited for this next chapter of what promises to be an extremely rewarding experience. I look forward to getting to know you all throughout this journey.

Experience

I am a registered nurse with over 30 years experience. I have been in the Huntsville City School system for the past 27 years. My first position within this system was as a Health Educator. I traveled to each of Huntsville City’s 47 schools, teaching health to students K-12 according to their ADE COS objectives. I enjoyed this position much more than I could have imagined. After twelve years in this position, I transitioned into the position of staff nurse working through the clinic. Initially I was assigned to Huntsville Junior High, formerly Huntsville Middle School. I was transferred to Huntsville High school and worked as the school nurse for eight years. After pursuing my Master's in Nursing Education, I transitioned into a teaching role in 18-19.
