Hi, Pirate family! My name is Amy White, and I have joined Providence Elementary as a new second-grade teacher for the 2023/2024 school year. I am originally from the small town of Covington, Tennessee, where I have over 21 years of experience teaching first grade, second grade, and art. I have a passion for children and education, and I always do my best to incorporate creative learning into everything I do. I recently moved to Huntsville with my husband, who works for NASA, and I can’t tell you how excited I am to begin this new adventure in my life. Together, we have four children, ranging from a senior at Huntsville High all the way up to a senior in college. One of our daughters also plays college basketball at Bethel University in Tennessee. In my spare time, I enjoy painting, watching sports, traveling, reading, and spending time with family.
