Welcome to third grade! My name is Macey Beaty, but am frequently called Ms. B. I am ecstatic to have a job so rewarding in that I get to instill children with the skills they need to be a citizen and participator in the real world. I am passionate about assisting students in adjusting from learning to read to reading to learn. I emphasize critical thinking, inquiry, interactive notebooks, and reader's/writer's workshops to meet the various learning styles needed within a diverse classroom. Outside of teaching my favorite hobbies are playing with my kitty Taro, yoga, thrifting, and antique shopping. I was born in Athens, Alabama, but grew up in Houston, Texas. I love the city but am forever grateful to be back closer to family and be a Providence Pirate.
