My name is Tomara Hammond. I developed a love for teaching very early and continue to embrace my passion today . For the past seven years I have been teaching 5th grade, and I enjoy seeing the tremendous growth developmentally at this age. I am originally from University Park, IL, a suburb of Chicago. I moved to Huntsville to attend college, and made this city my home. My husband and I have four boys, two in college, one in high school, and a fifth grader. As a family we love sports and travelling. Each year I look forward to seeing the growth and the maturity of my students, both academically and socially. My hope is that all of my students will be life long learners, and strive to be their best.
