I am one of the fortunate few to be a life-long resident of Madison County. The best time of the year is when fall football season rolls around and I hear the cries of "Roll Tide Roll". This always brings to mind the classic rivalry between the Tide and Tigers. This was a constant battle every Saturday when all the aunts, uncles, and cousins would settle in at my grandparent's to watch and argue about the big game being played as we watched on a very small TV.

Now that I am lucky enough to have my own girls and two of the most wonderful little grandsons in the world, I hope to make those wonderful memories with them. I am fortunate to get to spend my days with children, your children. I want to share those precious memories and help them appreciate and build their own. There is nothing more satisfying than seeing the light in a child's eyes when they realize they did something they were sure they couldn't. My grandparents taught me so much, and it is my wish to teach and work with my students as if they were my own grandchildren. I want to share my love of reading, researching, and joy of learning new things.
