I grew up in South Huntsville and graduated from Grissom High School. I attended UAB for college and spent two years traveling to developing countries around the world teaching and serving in schools, orphanages, and remote villages. I believe that all children have gifts, talents, and strengths that can be unlocked and cultivated when given effective, individualized instruction and an appropriate learning atmosphere. As an educator, I strive to create a safe environment in which students are encouraged to take risks, try hard things, and share their ideas. When I'm not at school, I'm usually coaching swim team, traveling, or spending time outside with my family and friends!
