Amiya Fuqua
I am a native of Huntsville, Alabama. At the age of 13, I was awarded the True Performer at Intrigue Dance Convention . This award allowed me to be apart of the faculty as an assistant until I was the age of 21. To pursue a career in dance, I graduated from the Alabama State University with a degree in Bachelor’s and Fine Arts. I was selected to perform in Anthony Burrell’s contemporary piece that was performed for Alabama State University Annual Fall concert.
With guidance and motivation from my teachers, I became an outstanding dancer, teacher, and choreographer. I am an alumni of the Academy and I enjoy creating and sharing my passion of the arts, where I once was as a child.
