Vision
A high-quality education is the fundamental right of every child. All children will receive the respect, encouragement, and opportunity they need to build the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and have a clear path to pursue their passion.
History
Columbia High School was founded in 2005. It is situated on fifty acres in Huntsville's Research Park, It is named in honor of the space shuttle Columbia which was the first shuttle orbiter in space. The Columbia shuttle was destroyed during re-entry on the return from the 113th shuttle mission on February 1, 2003. All seven astronauts on board lost their lives.
Columbia High School serves the residents of West Huntsville and Redstone Arsenal.
Columbia's Alma Mater was written by Yosenia Compres and arranged by Mr. James Kendrick.
