My name is Jennifer Grooters. I am married to the love of my life, Steven, and we have three beautiful children, Russell, Hunter, and Kallie. We are cattle and pig ranchers. We live in our dream home on a 40 acre farm with an abundance of animals ! I love to garden, fish, hunt, cross stitch, sew, paint, and most anything crafty. We are active in our church and we stay super busy with all of my children's extra curricular activities. I ABSOLUTELY love being a nurse. I take my calling very seriously and I try to take care of my students, staff, and all of the GSES family as best as I can. I treat everyone like my own family. I absolutely love being a nurse ! I graduated from nursing school as the Class President and in the top 5% of my class. I have previous work experience as a Float Pool Nurse where I worked in the Med/Surgical units, Emergency Room, Intensive Care Units and Step Down Units. I have 7 years experience in the Operating Room where I worked mostly Orthopedics, Trauma, Burn, Neuro, and General Surgery. I received the PATIENTS FIRST NURSE OF THE YEAR AWARD at my facility in 2019. I became a GSES OWL in September 2020 and I can't see myself doing anything other than working alongside these wonderful children, their families, and the staff at GSES ! I am proud to be recognized as the GSES Support Staff of the Year recipient for the 2023-2022 school year.
