Huntsville Junior High Community,

It is with great excitement that I write this biography as Principal at Huntsville Junior High School! I am truly honored to be part of this warm and welcoming community! HJHS is a place where strong connections are made between home and school, and staff members are committed to positive relationships and effective instruction. I am thrilled to continue the journey of excellence that has already been established at HJHS!

Professionally, I have over 20 years of experience in the field of education. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Social Science Education and MS in Education Administration at Alabama A&M University. I then spent 12 years teaching high school social studies and psychology courses at Butler High School and Huntsville High. I went on to earn my Master of Education degree in Instructional Leadership. Soon after, I decided to become an administrator based on my strong desire to impact an entire school community positively. Prior to coming to HJHS, I spent 6 years as an Assistant Principal at Huntsville High School.

One of the most important aspects of my work here at HJHS is building strong relationships with each and every one of you. You'll find me in the hallways, classrooms, and at special activities. My passion has been, and always will be educating students. I have an open-door policy and will always welcome your input and ideas.
