I grew up in Limestone County where I attended West Limestone High School. I grew up on a farm and tried to always help my parents and grandfather. My wife and I have our own small operation now and we love it. Around our farm you would expect to see cows, goats, chickens, and ducks. I learned to weld in high school AG class and continued doing so around the farm. It would be safe to assume that my time welding on farm equipment directed my career path.

Experience
This is my third year at Mae Jemison High School. I began my career welding ornamental ironwork and was able to learn many fabrication skills. After a time there, I started working for a Government Defense Contractor welding, assisting with research and development, and assembling parts for the Patriot Missile System. While there I honed my skills welding specialty metals and alloys.
I started as an Adjunct Dual Enrollment Welding Instructor for Calhoun Community College in 2020 and realized that teaching is my passion. I started my teaching career at Huntsville City Schools in 2022 and have grown the welding technology program to include Dual Enrollment opportunities through Calhoun as well.
