I'm Ms. Hess and I am the ESOL teacher at Jemison High. When I’m not in the classroom, you can usually find me embarking on new adventures around the globe. Traveling has not only broadened my horizons but also enriched my teaching with diverse perspectives and experiences. Each destination offers unique stories and lessons that I love to share with my students, making our school a place where the world feels just a little smaller and more connected. Art is another significant part of my life. I believe that art is a powerful tool for self-expression and critical thinking, and I like to spend time every night painting.

At home, I’m accompanied by my adorable cat, Drake. He is a constant source of joy and inspiration, who is often found lounging beside me. I’m excited to bring my enthusiasm for travel, art, and learning into the classroom. Here’s to a wonderful year of discovery and growth!
