Greetings, My Name is Dr. Michael Wayne Wesley, Jr. I am the son of the Rev. Dr. Michael W. Wesley Sr. & Venita Wesley, both retired educators respectively. I have a younger brother, James, who currently serves here as an Aeronautical Engineer. Additionally, I am the proud father of "3" beautiful daughters (Michaiah Grace, 13 years old), (McKinliegh Reign, 12 years old), and (Tensley Heirabella, 3 years old). 

I LOVE Teaching and Learning! Words can't express how happy I am to have the awesome privilege of a lifetime to serve here at Dr. Mae C. Jemison High School as one of your assistant principals under the dynamic leadership of our amazing principal, Dr. Leverette.

This year marks my 20th year serving as a highly-qualified classroom teacher, educator, and scholar here in the Great State of Alabama. Throughout my career as an educator, I've been blessed to have the 
opportunity to work in both the Birmingham City School System (2 years) and the Hoover City School System (18 years) as a highly-qualified, elementary classroom teacher and educational specialist.

As a lifelong-learner, I am fully committed to inspiring, encouraging, and motivating "All" students to Be The Best! It is with great anticipation that I look forward to working with, learning from, and collaborating with each of you to make this school year, The Best EVER!
