Calandra Williams
I am a native of Huntsville, Alabama and a graduate of Johnson High School. After college, I began my career with the district. Although I have served for many years, I still enjoy every day that I am blessed to be able to positively impact students, parents, and my peers. Additionally, I am a wife, mother of two, and the grandmother of four. When all has been said and done, it is my life's goal to die empty of all my gifts and talents.

Experience
I began my teaching career working in alternative settings, at The Neaves-Davis Center for Children and The Seldon Center. It was sort of a "baptism" into the field of education, working with at-risk children. After leaving the alternative school, I taught at Huntsville Middle/Junior H.S. for several years before transitioning into administration. It was at Huntsville Junior that I realized that my call was to serve in administration. Sure enough, all my former principals' saw leadership capacity in me and encouraged me to pursue it.
My first job in administration was an assistant principal at McNair Junior H.S. Although it was short-lived, it was a joy and pleasure to serve my McNair family, which will always hold a special place in my heart. Currently, I serve as the assistant principal at Chapman Elementary and the SOAR administrator. I love my job, and I am truly grateful to serve in this capacity. My Chapman and SOAR families truly ROCK!
