I grew up in Columbus, OH before moving south to attend the University of Alabama, where I studied Math Education and worked on an NSF grant to train math students to teach Computer Science. As the first pre-service Computer Science teacher in Alabama, I have taught both AP Computer Science Principles and AP Computer Science A, as well as magnet-specific courses in Python, C++, and Java. When I'm not teaching Computer Science, I enjoy reading, watching sports, and spending time with my husband, daughter (Michaela) and dog (Ace)!
