Greetings! My name is Jennifer Barksdale. I am so excited to be a third grade teacher here at Ridgecrest Elementary. I know that we are going to have a great year. I look forward to watching my students learn and grow. One of my goals is to create a classroom community where your child feels welcome, safe, and excited to learn.

I have been married for 27 years and I have two awesome children. I also have two dogs. I have many hobbies. Some of my favorite things include photography, listening to music (especially K-POP, specifically BTS), and watching Auburn football.

Prior to obtaining my degree, I served as a long term substitute teacher with Huntsville City Schools for the last couple of years. I have been a substitute teacher for grades K-12, and have been employed as the ILC Instructor for the junior high grade level.
