I am honored to serve as the Whitesburg Elementary School Principal, having the opportunity to lead a school that places student learning at the forefront of all decisions. Together, our mission is to create lifelong learners in a safe and positive environment that prepares students to be college and career ready.

I am a native of Tuscaloosa, AL (Roll Tide!), and have been an educator for the past 23 years. I have served in Arkansas, Kentucky, and the great state of Alabama in both elementary and middle school. I have been fortunate to serve in Huntsville City Schools for the past 15 years.

Beyond my work as an educator, I am most proud of being a wife, mother, and grandparent. I have been happily married to my high school sweetheart for the past 38 years. We have two daughters and four grandchildren who are all students in HCS.

I am eager and excited to begin what promises to be the best year ever. This year is going to be amazing as we continue to provide academic experiences for our students that are rigorous, relevant, and help them build relationships while making real-world connections. It is important to me that everyone who steps through our doors – faculty/staff, students, parents, and stakeholders – are excited to be here!

I look forwarding to continue learning, growing, and celebrating as a Whitesburg Elementary family.
