I am Tameka Slaughter, the Literacy Specialist for Whitesburg Elementary. After living in Georgia and Tennessee, my husband and I relocated to Madison in 2019. I enjoy traveling with my husband, spending time with my nieces and nephews, reading, and practicing yoga.

I have been an educator for nearly 20 years and have served as Special Education Teacher, Education Specialist, Instructional Intervention Coach, and Reading Interventionist. I have taught students in Pre-K-6th grade.
