My name is Diedre D. Readus. I am very excited to be teaching first grade with Williams Elementary School this year. This year begins my 21st year as an educator. I've taught EVERYTHING from Pre-K through 5th grade. I'm a native of Huntsville, Alabama, and reside in Harvest, Alabama with my husband Adrian. I have a 28 year old son named DJ who works with Decatur City Schools, as well as a 21 year old stepson AJ who attends Jacksonville State University. In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, spending time with family and friends, traveling, and binge watching movies.

I know this will be an amazing year, and I can't wait to help the students grow. My main goal is to create a classroom family environment, where everyone feels welcome, safe, and excited to learn.
