After the donation of land to Huntsville City Schools by the Williams Family to build an Elementary and Middle School, James Edward Williams Elementary School was constructed and opened in September 1990.  Several years later, James Edward Williams Middle School was constructed and opened in August 2009.

Williams Middle School is committed to empowering students to become successful life-long learners and leaders in an ever-changing world.  We will create challenging and developmentally appropriate learning experiences that emphasize rigor and high academic standards.  Personal integrity and democratic values will be fostered in our students to prepare them to become responsible, globally conscious citizens.
