Principal's Message 08-21-23

Research studies support that good school attendance directly impacts a student's rate of success in school. This is important not only for individual student success but also for our school as a whole because a portion of our annual report card grade is based on student attendance. Unfortunately, we had 126 students with 18 or more absences last school year. That is a lot of absences which creates a difficult instructional situation. The bottom line, we need students at school every day possible.

Should your student need to be absent, please send a note to your child's teacher within two days. You can also send it to our office manager, Mrs. Cottrell.

Thank you for helping us to have the privilege of helping your child learn and get smarter each and every day!

Huntsville Celebrate Education Parade

Last Saturday, we had a group represent Blossomwood Elementary at the Huntsville Celebrate Education Parade. It was a great time seeing so many of the students and families that we serve!

Thank you to everyone who was able to join us!

Dr. Scott, Mrs. Collier, Coach Nick, and students pose by a truck in the parade. Text on banner reads, Blossomwood Elemementary Blossom Explore Succeed.

Thanks for sharing your child(ren) with us! Go Panthers!
