Principal's Message 3-28-23

Dear Blossomwood Families,

What a great a great time to be a Blossomwood Panther!

Please remember to register your child for next school year. Emails were sent out again this week to anyone who has not yet registered their child. The subject was 'Huntsville City School District Returning Student Registration' Please check your junk folders for this email. If you have already registered your child, you would not have received an email. If you have not registered your child and you did not receive an email, please call our front office one day next week to receive your registration information. Remember you will need a digital copy of your utility bill as a proof of residency when registering, so be sure to have it handy.

Report cards will go home this Wednesday in Blossomwood folders. If you have any questions or concerns about your child’s report card, feel free to reach out to your child’s teacher to schedule a conference

Our Playground is Receiving a Facelift

Our school district is providing a facelift to our large playground. All of the old pea gravel has been removed. In its place, an artificial surface is being installed.  The new surface has gravel and crushed gravel covered by foam which will lastly be covered this week by artificial turf. Lastly, new grass sod will be placed in the surrounding area. It is going to be fantastic!

Dauphin Island Sea Lab Visits

Thanks to Mrs. Reed (Gr. 5) and Mrs. Fuller (librarian), the Bay Mobile program from the Dauphin Island Sea Lab visited students in grades 3, 4, 5, & 6 last week. The content typically lasts 25-45 minutes ,and it focuses on the animals that live in and around the Gulf of Mexico/Alabama. Most of the animals that are shared are preserved or no longer alive; however, there are a few smaller live animals.

A 5th grade students holds a marine speciment during the Dauphin Island Sea Lab visit.
